This one hundred and eighty year old company approached Ashton with a very specific request:  make our button patterns easily accessible to our clients!  With over 40,000 active patterns, Waterbury Button has a lot of tracking, searching and sifting to do for every request for a design.  Buttons were attached to posterboards and locked in safes to ensure that none were misplaced or lost.  The search mechanisms being used were labor intensive and had not been cost-effective for many years when we met with the company.

The solution was an online, browseable catalog of images.  Ashton worked with Waterbury Button to create a database of their products, including images, descriptions and in some cases, the ability to apply a pattern to a collectible item and order this online.  The main focus of business has been the fashion, military and career uniform markets, but Waterbury Button did not want to ignore the small (and often individual) order requests.  For this reason, Ashton built on online shopping cart that automates the selection of items and available patterns that has made this small order requests a managable and less labor-intensive way to keep their customers happy.
